Say hello to Site Builder for Umbraco 10

We're delighted to announce the immediate release of uSkinned Site Builder (v3) for Umbraco version 10.

As of today, uSkinned Site Builder (v3) is a .NET 6 package for Umbraco 10 — the first Site Builder available on the market!

Our underlying code may have changed a little but you'll still get a multiple award-winning, awesome uSkinned experience. This means that everything should be instantly familiar if you’ve worked with uSkinned Site Builder before.

100% .NET 6

uSkinned Site Builder for Umbraco 10 is now built for .NET 6. 

This allows any developer to take full advantage of all the improvements and performance enhancements provided by Microsoft ASP.NET Core and gives them access to new technologies like Razor TagHelpers, Microsoft Dependency Injection, and View Components.

Fully cross platform

Umbraco 10 is the first version of Umbraco to have full cross-platform support, meaning you can install it along with uSkinned Site Builder on Windows, Linux, and macOS — and the process is exactly the same.

WebP image support

The next-generation image format, WebP, had previously been supported by uSkinned Site Builder for Umbraco 8 and offered amazing SEO performance enhancements. Sadly, it was not available with Umbraco 9 but we are happy to say that Umbraco 10 now fully supports the WebP file format — woohoo! Best of all, we handle the conversion to WebP from any other file format for you — just upload your images as normal, and let uSkinned Site Builder handle the rest.

Accessibility 

We recently completed a major accessibility review of the front end of uSkinned Site Builder. Although we were very happy with how it performed, there were a number of points raised where we could enhance our solution even further. 

The implementation of all new accessibility features has now been completed and they are available in this latest release. Site Builder is now fully WCAG AA 2.1 compliant. 

Get started today

With Umbraco 10, users should install directly using NuGet. You can now find uSkinned Site Builder as a package on both NuGet and Our Umbraco. You can follow the steps below to get started.

Download and install Umbraco 10 with uSkinned Site Builder and Umbraco Forms via NuGet

Upgrade from Site Builder V2 to V3

Licensing

As with our previous versions, uSkinned Site Builder is still a licensed product. This means that to run in full you will need to purchase a domain license from our website. 

To activate your uSkinned Site Builder license, go to the uSkinned Member Portal. Go to licenses to create and download your license, if you do not have any available licenses then you will need to purchase a license before you can get up and running.
