Starter Kit & Theme Add-Ons

We unveiled new possibilities for uSkinned Site Builder with Starter Kit Add-Ons, providing users with enhanced options and the ability to get started even quicker. Designed for a variety of industries, the new add-ons make it easier for businesses and organisations to build their online presence.

Navigating Umbraco 8 EOL

As Umbraco 8 reaches its end of life in February 2025, we've provided essential guidance to our users on how to navigate this transition smoothly and ensure that their websites stay up-to-date and secure.

Site Builder for Umbraco 13

Umbraco 13 was out and true to form, we rolled out the next major version of uSkinned Site Builder. In March, we released Site Builder version 6.1 for Umbraco 13, ensuring our users could take advantage of the latest long-term support version of Umbraco and some awesome new features and enhancements of our own.

Umbraco 13 is the long-term support and the recommended version by Umbraco HQ.

Hosted uSkinned Websites

One of the key highlights of the year was the official launch of uSkinned Hosting. This new offering allows users to quickly and easily create, manage, and launch their websites on a secure hosted platform backed by Microsoft Azure. We've streamlined the process for businesses and organisations looking to leverage the power of uSkinned Site Builder and Umbraco with minimal effort.

Customer Portal Launch

In August 2024, we introduced the all-new Customer Portal. This new portal allowed our customers to manage their Hosted websites and domain licenses, access support, and stay up-to-date with product updates.

Umbraco Community Package Team

Our co-founder Marc Love was honoured to be part of the Umbraco Community Package Team for a second consecutive year. Marc’s continued involvement underscores his and uSkinned's dedication to the Umbraco ecosystem and his commitment to supporting the growth of the community. As part of the team, he contributes his expertise to the development and promotion of Umbraco packages, helping to drive innovation and enhance the platform for all users. 

Umbraco Kent Meetup

At the Umbraco Kent Meetup, the team showcased Site Builder and its features. The event covered how uSkinned helps users create websites quickly with ease, featuring real-life demos and best practices.

We were excited to present at the Umbraco US Festival 2024 in Chicago, where uSkinned proudly sponsored the event to help grow the North American Umbraco community. The team showcased uSkinned Site Builder, sharing insights on how it simplifies Umbraco website creation. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with users across the Atlantic, exchange ideas, and demonstrate the power of Site Builder, all while supporting the continued growth of Umbraco in North America.

UK Umbraco Festival 2024

Our co-founder, Paul, attended and presented at the UK Umbraco Festival 2024. The organisation behind the festival, the UK Umbraco Foundation, had recently adopted Site Builder on our hosted platform to build their website and Paul was invited to share insights.

We celebrated the renewal of our place in the Umbraco Package Hall of Fame 2024. This prestigious recognition acknowledges uSkinned Site Builder for its continued innovation and impact within the Umbraco ecosystem. This achievement highlights the team's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, user-friendly tools that help businesses.

G2 User Reviews and Ratings

Our achievements were further solidified with an outstanding overall star rating on G2 of 4.9 out of 5. In addition, when compared to other platforms on G2, uSkinned Site Builder was rated higher than WordPress, Elementor and Umbraco themselves — we love Umbraco but, it looks like users love it even more when uSkinned Site Builder is installed. This recognition highlights our product's quality and user satisfaction, cementing uSkinned’s position as a top choice for creating websites.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we look towards 2025, we are excited about what lies ahead. The foundation laid in 2024 sets the stage for continued growth and innovation. In January 2025, we will release uSkinned Site Builder 6.2, bringing even more features and improvements to further enhance the user experience. We remain committed to continuing our collaboration with the Umbraco community and delivering exceptional products for our customers.
